Very Fine Federal Satinwood-Inlaid Mahogany Sideboard, Philadelphia, circa 1800, the oblong top
with kidney-shaped front above conformingly shaped case with two convex drawers centering one concave drawer above a pair of cupboard drawers centering penwork-decorated satinwood-inlaid dies enclosing a ram’s head and bellflowers, on line-inlaid square tapering legs ending in crossbanded cuffs. Height 38 ¼ in. (97 cm.); width 72 in. (1.83 m.); depth 25 in. (65 cm.). Retains original rare silver-gilt brasses pressed with clusters of grapes. Estimate $25,000-35,000
