Federal Inlaid Mahogany Serpentine-Front Marble-Top Sideboard, Massachusetts, circa 1800, having a gray marble top within a molded enclosure, the case with a deep butler's drawer with bow front, the flap opening to an interior with pigeonholes and small drawers, a pair of cupboard doors below, the whole flanked by four deep drawers and bellflower-inlaid double square tapering legs ending in crossbanded cuffs. Height 40 ¼ inches (1.02 m.); length 5 feet 6 inches (1.68 m.); depth 28 ½ inches (72.4 cm.). Provenance : The Abbott Family, Hadley, Massachusetts, Kenneth Hammitt Antiques, Woodbury, CT
