Federal Satinwood Inlaid Mahogany Sideboard, Eastern New England, circa 1810, the oblong top with shaped splash board above two convex drawers above a pair of convex drawers centering two long drawers each inlaid at the center with a satinwood conch shell, a pair of cupboard doors below, on square tapering legs ending in spade feet. Some repairs to inlay. Height 48 ½ in. (1.23 m.); width 73 in. (1.86 m.); depth 30 in. (76 cm.). Estimate 6,000-9,000. Appears to retain most of its original brasses stamped with a lion's mask.
