Very fine and rare Hepplewhite cherry blockfront
sideboard, being a rare and pleasing variation of the block front form, with the single
door of the center concave section having a rectangular beaded panel with cut corner; the
convex blocked end sections each containing two drawers with circular ring turned brasses;
the blocking fashioned from the solid; raised on square tapered legs, all retaining
a fine mellow color. Connecticut circa 1780-1800. Inside the upper left drawer is the 1931 label and guarantee of Israel Sack. 40 ½" high, 53 ¼"
