A very fine Hepplewhite inlaid mahogany sideboard, with serpentine
front and notched top with canted center legs, having one long bowed drawer
above recessed fan inlaid cabinet doors, flanked by square fan inlaid end doors, raised on
square tapering legs inlaid with petal shaped husks and having inlaid cuffs. One end door
bearing the maker's label with the inscription "Elbert Anderson makes all kinds of
CABINETWARE on the most Modern and Approved Methods and on the most reasonable terms.
Maiden Lane NEW YORK." New York, circa 1800. 41 ½" high, (1.05 m.); 6'
