A very fine and rare Federal Satinwood-inlaid Mahogany Demi-lune
Sideboard. The semi-circular top over a conformingly shaped case having two short drawers
and two air of line-inlaid cockbeaded cupboard doors faced to simulate four short drawers,
centering one line-inlaid cockbeaded long drawer over two line-inlaid cockbeaded short
drawers and one line-inlaid cockbeaded deep drawer faced to simulate two short drawers,
the shaped skirt with line-inlaid edge having three contrasting light and dark inlaid
fans, continuing to line-and-bellflower inlaid square-tapering legs ending in crossbanded
cuffs. Northeastern Massachusetts, circa 1790. 39" high (1 m.); 5'
