A very fine Federal inlaid mahogany serpentine front
sideboard, the top with canted corners above a case with a bowed frieze drawer above a
pair of cupboard doors, concave cupboard doors flanking, the front inlaid all over with
oval and rectangular mitred panels, on bellflower-inlaid square tapering legs ending in
crossbanded cuffs. Baltimore, Maryland, circa 1800. 38 1/2 in. high (97.8 cm.); 5 ft. 10
in. long (1.77 m.); 26 in. deep (66 cm.) |
