A fine and rare inlaid mahogany small straight front sideboard, the rectangular top with line-inlaid edge above a pair of cupboard doors flanked by two line-inlaid short drawers and a bottle drawer faced to simulate two small drawers, the shaped skirt centering an inlaid cross-vine reserve, on line and bellflower inlaid square tapering legs ending in crossbanded cuffs. Top reset and some repair to inlay and one leg. Attributed to Thomas Howard, Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1800.

39 1/2" high. (1.01 m.);  45 1/4" wide (1.15 m.);  21 3/4" deep  (55 cm.).
