A very fine Federal inlaid mahogany sideboard with serpentine
front, above a case with three inlaid drawers centering a bowed center
section comprising a convex drawer above a pair of cupboard doors inlaid with a star,
centering diamond-inlaid dies on line-and-bellflower inlaid square tapering legs ending in
crossbanded cuffs. Some patches to veneers. Appears to retain its original brasses.
Mid-Atlantic states, circa 1790-95. 39 1/2" high (1.0 m.); 66" long
(1.67 m.); 23" deep (58.5 cm.).
