A very fine Federal inlaid mahogany sideboard, the oblong "D"
shaped top above a conforming case with a convex hinged door and a convex
drawer each faced to simulate two working drawers, centering a long drawer above a pair of
hinged doors, on intersecting and carrot-inlaid square tapering legs ending in crossbanded
cuffs. Appears to retain its original brasses. Fine old finish and color.
Philadelphia, circa 1800. 40" high (1.02 m.); 72 1/2" in. long (1.84 m.); 26"
deep (66 cm.) |
